Hello,

I don't know if I may give some ideas of features for the next CyberSEO version :

  1. Allow CyberSEO to skip articles with less than XX words ("XX" is set by the user)
  2. Allow CyberSEO to recognize "tag" section of an article, and also create those tags for the articles (if they aren't already existed)
  3. Allow CyberSEO to set how many words the excerpt should have (countless anything the user can add in "Insert post footers into excerpts"). Exceprts should start form the first word (without counting any HTML) and end to the number entered by the user
  4. Allow CyberSEO to allow user to crawl multiple feeds for the same feed source (so, that the user can create a bunch of feeds for the same source)
  5. Modify the field "Syndicate this feed to the following categories" to make it clear to see sub-categories. Now, any subcategory is showing like a category, and is very difficult to see
  6. Allow CyberSEO to set "Maximum number of posts to be syndicated from each feed at once", but also "the time it should start syndicating this source". I have many sources I syndicate every two hours. But, they are syndicating almost at the same time. I would like to put like 30 mins between them, but I can set the starting time. I just have to wait myself to create their syndication.

OK, that's all for me, for now.

Do you think these features are relevant enough to be in the next version ?

I especially agree with a few of your suggestions :

2) To effectively make tags work in similar way to how you can force create categories from the feed if you wish then maybe idea to do same for tags.

2a) Also possibly a load generator, but where it says 'Post tags (separate with commas)' as an option to have an extra choice to scan each item and if it spots one of your already defined tags on your wordpress blog to also tag it as well automatically

3) Nice and simple but extend it for people who want to streamline the actual main content on their site and encourage them to view the source site as well, by having the option to limit the size of the main post as well.

6) or a 'delay between concurrent feed syncs' where cyberseo knows it is due to poll 2 or more feeds at the same time it picks 1 and adds a wait X seconds/minutes.

I only purchased cyberseo today and am slowly working my way around it so if anything ive said above is already possible then let me know as it could help me !!!

Thanks

Most of these features can be easily done with the current version of CyberSEO. Here is how:

1) Drop the following code into the "PHP code <?php .. ?>" box:

2) There is no "tags" element in standard RSS feeds. There is the "category" one instead. On the other hand, "tags" is used by some some XML feed formats (e.g. SmartScripts). Thus by default the CyberSEO plugin uses the both elements ("tags" and "category") to create the post categories. However, you can easily override it with the following simple code:

2a) That's also not a problem:

3) Already explained Login to see this link.

4) Sorry but I didn't get this question.

5) Didn't thought it's a real problem. Perhaps will be implemented in one of the next versions.

6) Why don't you just set the different update periods like "30", "32", "35" etc?

And maybe also "pagination" in XML Syndicator, to be able to divide the list of feeds into many pages.
