Unfortunately the IonCube Loader can not run under PHP 5.5 (Login to see this link). Could you please ask your host provider to downgrade it to 5.3 or 5.4? Actually, a lot of other WordPress plugins won't work under PHP 5.5.

The 4.5.0 version is supposed to work with 5.5, shouldn't the script be encoded with an updated version of ioncube(as the error says)?

It's not a limitation of the plugin, but a limitation of the IonCube Loader.
