Hi, in your FAQ re:CyberSEO unlimited licensing you mention buying a site with CyberSEO in it, but I want to use it to design sites with domain name that will sell to different customers.

Is "CyberSEO unlimited" a developer's license, in other words can I:

1) sell the site(s) and

2) will the new owner(s) be eligible to get updates and support??

Thanks!

You CAN NOT use CyberSEO Unlimited edition on 3rd-party sites. In this case, your license will be revoked. If you want to use CyberSEO on 3rd-party domains, you have to buy a Single Blog edition for every site, which is not owned by you. You can register it for either both yourself or your client.

In short:

  • Unlimited Edition - single owner, unlimited number of sites/hosts/domains.
  • Single Blog Edition - one site per license, doesn't matter who is an owner.

So if I sell 200 sites a month at $60 each it means that I would need to buy the same plugin 200 times (LOL) at $29.95 each time.. bringing my profit to just $30 per site. I hope one day you will be able to offer a developers license (if only because all your competitors have one).

So you want to say that you are going to sell your sites for $60 and simple give away a $199 CyberSEO license to every your client just like a bonus? Why not include Microsoft Windows and Adobe Photoshop licenses into the same $60 pack then? Looks like a good deal, ah?wink

Your plugin costs $29 and the customers would get a $29 plugin. Maybe if they want to participate in the forum or get support they would need to purchase the plugin or pay extra, that'd be your choice/policy. Anyway, just the same developers licensing that Studiopress Genesis, Gravity forms and 100s of more evoluted software houses offer.

At the moment re:automation we are using WPRobot and Autoblogged, which also both offer a developers license of course. I don't need to buy 200 copies a month of each LOL, that would be retarded.

Looks like you should wake up a little, ah? wink

Sorry but I'm not interested in such a business offer. If the Unlimited Edition license gets shared, it gets revoked. That's written in the TOS.

I  understand and 100% agree with that ; I was just hoping that in the future there will be a developers edition that would allow final buyers to merely use the plugin (NOT receive a Unlimited Edition themselves as well) and perhaps pay extra for direct support.

The way you have it now, we lose the opportunity to use what seems a decent plugin, you lose business, money and notoriety. Just my 2 cents, I am not trying to convince anyone.
