CyberSEO Pro does not download those images. WordPress and your theme do that. By default WordPress generates 4 different sized versions for each featured image: Original, Large, Medium and Thumbnail (find more info Login to see this link).
However, your theme may define any number of additional thumbnail image sizes, so WordPress (not CyberSEO Pro) may generate 6 or even 600 versions of one single image. Only your theme decides how many copies of the same image in different resolutions it needs.
Thus use the theme that doesn't not require so many versions of the same featured image. Or better use FIFU to hotlink your featured images from original sites. In this case you will save your disk space and avoid copyright-related issues, because not many web resources allow you to copy their pictures and host them at your server.
As about "doesn't set featured images on my posts". Please post your Syndicator Log as it's asked Login to see this link. In this case I will be able to analyze the problem and give you an advice on how to fix it.
A reminder for all CyberSEO Pro users. Please do not enable the "Add to Media Library" option without a reason. This option must be disabled in most cases, as it forces WordPress to generate thumbnails of different sizes for each image in a post. This is a very time-consuming operation and can also waste your server's disk space.
