We have the CyberSEO Pro plugin version 8.0 running on WordPress 5.2.2

Here is the Atom feed we are pulling from:

WordPress Posts are created just fine and if I choose to have media attachments created as <div> tags to the top or bottom of a post, that works as well.

What we want if for these Atom media attachments to be created as a Word Press Post "Featured Image".  If I check the box to delete the post when a thumbnail (e.g.

Post thumbnail is required  - if the plugin will not be able to create post thumbnail as sepcified above (e.g. the source image is missing or broken), the post will be deleted!

Then the post is "deleted" or not created.  So, even the plugin knows that a "Featured Image" or I guess the plugin refers to a "Featured image" as a "Post Thumbnail"

Is this a WordPress permissions issue?

Is there anyway to see a log file for the CyberSEO Pro plugin, so I can see what it is doing?

It's definitely a bug, which will be fixed. But here is an express solution.

1) Add the following code as a first line into "PHP code " box:

2) Select "Generate from the "thumb" custom field" in the "Post thumbnails" drop-box.

3) Diable "Post thumbnail is required".

Thanks for the quick reply.  I did what you said and there is a custom field created on the post named "thumb" (see screenshot below), but the post is not be assigned a featured image.  Could there be something with CyberSEO and WordPress permissions for its ability to upload the image to the Word Press image gallery?

Anyway for me to view a log of what CyberSEO plugin is doing?

It could be. For example, your upload folder may have no permission to write files. You may need to chmod it to 777. If this doesn't work, please email me with admin login/password to your WordPress control panel.

I just sent the WordPress creds to

The image link above doesn't render because I made some changes.  Here is working image render.

For some reason the source site does not allow to download the file. The standard PHP file_get_contents function gives following error:

Perhaps there is a hotlink protection or something like that. I can see the image in browser, but I can't download it via PHP (both file_get_content and curl), because I'm always getting 404.

Ahh, good catch.  I should have thought of that as well.  Images sourced from this Word Press are at times having issues.  I uploaded the image to a different image server and the CyberSEO plugin worked without a problem.  Thanks for your help.

I should also mention that the need for the custom php code of:

was actually not necessary.  The issue was that the source image was not retrievable.  Once I linked to a valid image in the Atom feed, everything worked.
