Hi,

This might not be a cyberseo problem but maybe you recognise it anyway:

Whenever new posts are written to the database via Cyberseo, cpu loads spike enormously sometimes hanging the box. (25+ load)

When wordpress is disabled, mysql is performing fine also under heavy load.

Anyone have any tips or solutions? I checked so many things already it's annoying

Do you use a synonym table? How large is it?

Very strange then because if there is no synonym table and no custom PHP code, the syndication algorithm works very fast. Course if your RSS feed is also not too big (some RSS feeds contain up to 1000 entries).

I found it does that if the rss file is too big. I resolved that by keeping the number of posts low and increasing the frequency of the updates. I also use a lot of feeds so I stagger the update times so they don't run all at the same time. Now my server load stays at 0%.

I had the same problem. With me it was a theme issue. Try changing to the default Twenty Eleven theme and see how that goes... If it all runs smoothly, then you need to go with another theme.

Another thing: have you set it to pseudo-cron or cronjob? Because in my experience pseudo-cron sucks the living hell out of your resources.

CyberSEO is an incredibly lightweight plugin and under the right environment, you won't even notice that it's running in your CPU-load. I use it with about 20 RSS-feeds which pull 2 posts every 1-2 hours and it never slows down my site, even during busy hours.
