Hi,

Let's assume blog-A is used as central database to store own wrote synonyms posts.
Now I want to pull those posts to blog-B, but this will just be possible when posts are published.

Here comes my issue. Actually I don't want that those posts from blog-A get indexed by SE's.
This because I still need to add pictures/videos to the posts, but the text part is ready.
Let's say I publish 100 posts temporary at blog-A, so I can pull the feed on blog-B,
automatic a ping will get send when publishing posts or not?

Will publishing at private, and then pulling at blog-B works ? (private posts won't get indexed I'm told)

Any one that is able to get me some tips/pointers ? :)

Thank you in advance.

  1. Go to Settings->Privacy of your blog-A
  2. Select "Ask search engines not to index this site" and save the settings.
  3. For a better insurance add the following lines into "robots.txt" of blog-A:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /
  4. Now make your posts published - they won't be indexed.

Hi,

Thank you for that. But when doing this, ok the posts does not get indexed.
But will WP still pings to Google for example, and send the contextual part ?

For blog-A, it's very important that the posts are not revealed to SE's.

AFAIK WordPress doesn't ping when "Ask search engines not to index this site" is set.
