how to delete from excerpts... | CyberSEO Pro | Support Forum

I think many of my issues have been the theme I was using. I switched the theme and this one has so many less issues all the way around. I am about to open the site back up... Meanwhile, on the feeds, on the other theme I had been cleaning up the feed posts, in many cases one by one, and at the end was manually adding

...<a href="content posting site url here">Click To Continue Reading</a>

on this theme however the "read more" part works perfectly but it now comes up up right up after the manually added click to continue reading on the line above it... so I need to get rid of what I added. Now I know from another post about 

$post->post_excerpt = str_replace('replace what', 'replace to', $post->post_excerpt);

but I am not sure that would help since in this case the url changes on each except and i am trying to delete instead of replace. What would be the code to use to keep from doing this manually?
