Hi, what I'm trying to do is remove any redundant tags from being used as categories for the post.

I'm an amateur at PHP, but here is the code I made so far:

———————

This works to remove redundant tags when tested on a plain PHP page. But when I test on pulling a feed in CyberSEO, the redundant tags are still there. I tested if it's possible to overwrite the tags with this code only:

And that works fine, so it appears the tags can be overwritten. Can you help me on what mistake I am making?

I'm not sure that I god your question right. Do you want to remove some the specified categories ('Category1,Category2,Category3,Category4') from the automatically generated $post ['categories'] array?

If so, you should do it like this:

Yes, you understand correctly what I want to do. Unfortunately, that code is not removing the categories from the post. I will send you an email with more details.

I see the problem. It's because the tags in $post ['categories'] are not trimmed by CyberSEO (i.e. they come with a leading space symbol). Consider it as a bug in the plugin which will be fixed in the next release.

However you can do some workaround in your code which will work now. E.g.:

Thanks, that works. Smile I will use this workaround until the next update.
