I have created a syndicated task using CSV with 100 items in the CSV.

I have set up the syndicated task so it generates one post for each run. I run the task manually.

The task starts to process the first item, it uses AI to create content, and then it is unable to generate a thumbnail, and since I have set the option such that it does not publish if it's unable to generate a thumbnail, so the task does not publish the content to WordPress.

Unfortunately, the task then processes each of the 100 items in the CSV, and for each it creates content using the AI, and then fails for each item, and does not generate a post because it is not able to generate a thumbnail. Using up a boatload of tokens in the process.

After I resolved the issue with the thumbnail, and ran the syndicated task, the task goes through each of 100 items in the CSV and skips them because it says the post already published/ exists. Which is not the case at no time were any posts generated.

If possible, could you add the following functionality:

The syndicated task should not mark a item that was processed but where a post was not generated as existing.

Make default, or provide an option, to stop processing the CSV file if it is not able to generate a post for any reason, including not being able to produce the thumbnail if that option is set.

Provide an ability to reset a syndicated task so it will reprocess the CSV from the beginning.

If the post was not previously generated and physically inserted into the WordPress database, it will be generated on the next pass and will not be skipped.

Please provide your Syndicator log generated for the situation described above. There must be a note explaining why the post was skipped.

I don't see a problem yet. In the first log case, the post is actually added, but then deleted because there is no way to create a post thumbnail for it. You configured the plugin that way yourself. Disable mandatory post thumbnail generation and the post will not be deleted. Or just specify the URL of an alternative image in case of fail.

The second log shows that the posts are not added because they are already in your database and you can see them by ID 112370, 112372 and 112374.

The issue is that the post should not be in my database but they were created and deleted by cyber as shown in the screenshot. An entry into the WordPress database should not be created in the case where the post  fails to meet the criteria for creating a post.

Unfortunately, I don't see a problem. You provided the logs above and I explained what's going on there. If you have questions about a specific post ID and your logs, please specify which post you are interested in and what's wrong with it.
