So how can I do this:
show the full article in the blog post and show 55 words + the "more here" button as excerpt on the blog page?

The best way is to modify your WordPress template, because it is responsible on what and how is displayed at your pages. Of course you may limit the excerpt length via the "Shorten post excerpts" option (just put 55 there). If you wan to put "more here" at the end, you may do it by modifying your "Post excerpt" template as follows:
