Because there is no such image with a Creative Commons license on Google Images. This means that all images for the given search phrase are copyrighted.

Is it possible to automatically select pictures for news from a pre-prepared folder?

Here is the simplest way to use a random image as a post thumbnail. Let's assume you have a few images named as img01.jpg, img02.jpg ... img12.jpg that are uploaded to https://www.yoursite.com/images/
Just click the "Media handling" tab in your feed settings.
Select "Use the alternative image source" in the "Post thumbnails" drop-down menu.
Now enter this URL into the "Alternative thumbnail source" box:
