I use both the PRO version and LITE version in my marketing/advertising business.

One question I have for both of them is why doesn't the Link to source option have the ability to open in a new page?

Right now if this option is ticked the visitor is immediately taken away from the web site I am trying to draw people too.

I'm looking at CybeSEO as a marketing tool.

The source option ( when enabled the post titles will be linked to their source pages. )

should give the option of opening in a new page in both versions.

Otherwise I like how this app works

Please be more specific, because I didn't get the question. The "Link to source" option works as described - it links all the post titles to the original articles. If you don't need this option for your projects, just don not enable it.

The plugin uses the standard WordPress API to redirect post links: Login to see this link

It (WordPress) does not allow anyone to change the "target" parameter of post titles, because your WordPress handles that. This parameter (I mean target="_blank") has to be hard-coded in your WordPress theme. So the only way to change it is to alter your theme.

For example, open the /wp-content/themes/twentytwenty/template-parts/entry-header.php file. It defines how your post titles will be shown:

If you want your posts to be open in a new window, you have to alter it like this:

That's a hard-coded part which can't be altered the WordPress engine.

Thanks for explanation

QUESTION:

My theme has a place where I can add additional CSS codes.

Is there any additional codes that I can add to include the target="_blank function?

I'm not a programmer just a marketing person and this addition would make CyberSEo much more powerful

No. It's a HTML tag, so the only way to change it is to alter the HTML code of your theme. The tag is literally written there.
